I am trying to do defragmentation using Perfect Disk software.
I have a lot of *.rdb files which are excluded from defragmentation because of Access denied.
Please note I checked the same files on two different servers. On one I have Retrospect server on the other not - it means that files was not open by Retrospect.
I am sure that it is not related to Perfect Disk.
Permissions are the same for files which are included and those which are excluded.

Do you have any idea where can be a problem?

Linux commands for retropect client

Anyone know where to find linux commands for retrospect client 6.1.130, I am getting error -505 (Backup client reserved) and would like to know how to switch the client on and off through the command line....All knowledgebase says is that I need to restart the service but this error seems to recur often I would like to avoid this

Windows Agent & Service Account

I'm just trying to verify that when I create an RBU from the domain, should I run the Agent Service under that same RBU account?

I essentially would like to make sure that the RBU account has the appropriate permissions to the local server (where the agent is running), so that the backup server (the application) can see all the files it should be able to see to backup.

Pretty much, do I need that RBU on the Agent side or is it fine to run as Local System?

Thanks,

We have recently installed a NAS server for backing up client PC in our network. We have some problems with the automatic back up. We frequently get errors 102 and 1101. Probably we have a problem with the user id administrated on the server. But I cannot edit the preferences user id menu so retrospect express always runs under the logged in user. Is it normal for retrospect express that I cannot edit this menu? How could this come?

Another problem often occuring is "backup set member x is corrupt or has data from another set". After which the operator stops the execution. Does anyone have experience with this notification?

Hope someone can give me a hint...Bye.

Kudda has successfully solved the downloading problems for numerous video web

The rise of Video web stimulates more intuitive video feeling of large people, and makes video downloading becomes a popular trend in web times, meanwhile, more and more downloading problems arises correspondingly, in which the first trouble is slow downloading speed and incomplete downloading. It seems to many people that downloading video, especially downloading large video, is like a protracted war with the internet, even the victor is difficult to predict.
Many domestic video web has succesesfully solved downloading problems that they suffered for a long time, after using Kudaa software as a transfer tool in the latter half of 2007.Then afterwards burst of downloading amount and increasingly rise of people, which has totally changed the depression in website.
How does Kudaa software achieve video downloading peaking? It’s mainly because a new P2P technology, Multinational P2P (called MNP2P for short) has been applied. It is different from the P2P transfer technology before; the downloading source of Kudaa MNP2P technology can enjoy the same speed as multi-person download at the same time under the condition of P2P. In another easier and clearer way to speak, if multi-people download the same video, the users will no longer download it from the web server but from the other users downloading the same video before. In this way, it saves bandwidth for web to increase its downloading speed.
Kudaa software(http://www.kudaa.com)creates the myth of internet transfer acceleration, and it thoroughly realizes the ideal that the internet video is localized rapidly, and solves all kinds of web video downloading problems. It supports all kinds of the acceleration of video-web downloading; people can download any video files and save them easily, and it doesn’t take much time to see a clear and fluent video picture, which makes the users enjoy a richer, more independent, higher quality visual feast.
