when Editing a backup script, not just include, action for a backup set

include action for doing something else:
by example, something like this

"when finished this script"
"if error, then run script: ____________"
"ir successfully run script: ___________"
"if error send notification email to: ___________" "
if successfully send notification email to: ___________"
"stop all execution"
"exit retrospect"

etc.

in "Manage scripts" option menu add "Recycled at"

i just want to be prepared when a backup set gets full, so i just want an other backup set name to be prepared (empty with space available) to continue the same or other backup script.

My Whishlst,

It would be nice to have this in the notifications emails:
- log attached, start date, end date, etc
- attach complet log, or only the details
- add the Backup Job name in the Subject

Virtual Server VSS Writer Support

We're going to be consolidating many servers to virtual servers in the upcoming months, and will be looking for a good backup solution for them.

Virtual Server (and the upcoming Hyper-V) has a nice VSS writer for taking complete and incremental backups of Virtual Machines (including configuration, system state, and hard disks), but right now MS DPM 2007 is the only product that actually uses it.

Backing up the VHDs is of course impractical due to their size and inability to perform incremental backups, and running the backup agent inside of each Virtual Host is at best a clumsy solution.

Would definitely pay $$$ for an add-on that supports Virtual Server's VSS writer, much like Exchange, SQL, etc.

Emergency Repair Disk and Windows Vista

Why Retrospect do not support the Emergency Repair Disk creation when running on a system with Windows Vista.

Is there a Road Map where this issues has been included or not ?

Email Alert to contain event log section

At present, the email alert only contains information about the name of the script that has just completed successfully, for example:

The feature request is to have the log extract included as well, so that at least the name of the client is mentioned, for example:

Proactive Snapshot Transfers

Currently the proactive backup script system is able to proactively backup. This feature request is to have the option to perform a proactive snapshot transfer.

Client Configuration Options Controllable with Group Policy

There are several options on the client, such as whether to be notified if there has been no backup within the last 7 days and so on, that we would like to be able to consistently set on a large number of desktop PCs.

Ideally we would like to be able to use Group Policy to either set the initial preferred settings allowing the user to change them, or we wish to enforce settings that the user cannot change.
