We've been using Retro Pro 7.5 for a year and would recommend it. However we will be installing Win 2k3 R2 and due budget constraints can only upgade to Retrospect D2D. I have not found much info on D2D but I would like to know:
Can I use my current backup sets & catalogs?
Is the GUI the same as Retro Pro?
Will it backup mapped drives?
Any & all comments much appreciated.

I am trying to go through the upgrade process from 7.0.301 to 7.5. I have a single license for Professional with an additional 5-pack client license. All is working fine.

I used the online store upgrade option to upgrade my Professional key to 7.5 with no problems. When I try to uppgrade the client 5-pack, entering the license code returns an Upgrade Wizard page that says:

Choose your upgrade products
Listed below are your upgrade options. Choose one by clicking 'Select'

Only problem is that the list is empty. There is nothing to select, even though the 5-pack upgrade is listed on the Upgrade Matrix page as $69. I don't want to install 7.5 until I know my clients are going to work.

How do I get this upgrade to work?

Thanks,

On Monday morning I bring in Set A and each night I do a backup to A. On the next Monday drive A goes offsite and Drive B comes in and does daily backups. Next Monday B goes off site and A comes back in.

I set up a series of daily scripts for A and B. I'd like to be able to disable B's scripts the week that A drive is in and I'd like to disble A's scripts the week B is in. Can I do that without having to stop and write a new set of scripts each week?

Hope this is the right forum.

Trying to setup backup schedule and it asks for user name and password. Thought it was the same user name and password as those used on WD Anywhere Access account.

I am using a WD My Book world edition that came with the Retrospect Backup software.

Is there a way to reset user name and password?
I just purchased a NETGEAR ReadNAS+ that has a 5 client license bundled on the CD. The machine that I am trying to install the main app on is defaulting to express version. I tried uninstalling the program a few times without success. There is no 'CONFIGURE->CLIENTS" menu selection on the express version.

I installed the client on one other machine thus far.

Do I need some sort of license code to "upgrade"? Some uninstall script that cleans the registry? ... or am I just making a newbie mistake?

Thanks,

I've owned just about every version of retrospect for the last fifteen years. The last Mac focused version I owned was workgroup.

I currently run Windows SBS with add ons for recovery, an additional server, etc.

As you folks likely know the current Mac client for 7.5 just doesn't work.

Can I "upgrade" from one of my previous mac versions to the stand alone mac version or some such until you get a client for 10.5 out for SBS 7.5 that works?
Whenever I apply this update I get a device error when a script needs a new disk; I'm backing up to DVD+rw. The error doesn't occur when I'm manually backing up and need a new disk. When I uninstall 6.1.138 and reinstall 6.1.126 the problem goes away.
Who can I contact about this?
It worked fine backing up my PC with Windows X until I bought a new PC to replace my old one. The operating system on my new PC is Vista. The 6.5 version of Retrospect that I have is incompatible with Vista and locked my monitor and as a result I had to uninstall Retrospect. My question is this, 'Is there a quick fix to my problem or do I have to buy a newer version of Retropsect? If I have to buy a new version, what do I buy?' Thank you.

RSS problems?

Several RSS urls are 404, for example:
