I am trying to recover from a backup with out a catalog file. When I tell it to Perform Backup Maintenance, it just goes back to the initial screen when I click finish. It still shows 0 restore points. It then creats a new folder, and an empty catalog file adding a number each time I try.

I am not sure what version the backup was created with.

Any suggestions?

have you tried to delete the .rbc file? That will delete the old catalog file and force the program to create a new one based off the backup data.

Yes. When the file is deleted, and I attempt to "Perform Backup Maintenance" It just goes back to the initial screen, shows 0 restorepoints and I find that It creates a new .rbc file and a new folder with a matching name.

The folder is supposed to contain your backup data files. Is that folder empty?

The backup folder is called "Restorpoint1". It has several backup files in it.

When I try to run the repair to make a new .rbc file, all it does is create a new folder called "Restorepoint2", and a "Restorepoint2.rbc".

If I remove these, and try again, it will name them Restorpoint3 and 4 consecutively.
